BP.net MONTHLY PHOTO CONTESTS -- Please Read!!

For all those wondering about what happened with the contests....I am deeply sorry to say that it is all my fault. I had to take an extended time away from the Internet and I hadn't made provisions for a smooth transition of the contest responsibilities. This is the first time in all the history of the site, since the original BPOM contest was first begun, that this ball has been dropped so badly. And I accept full responsibility for it. But I assure you....that they are not gone or forgotten and will make a full and complete recovery!!

Unfortunately, all images currently submitted to the contests (both those already approved and those waiting for approval) have been lost. We will have to start from scratch. We'll take the rest of the month of January to rebuild and re-collect the images, as well as accept new submissions. Contest polls will go up on Feb 1st as usual and run for their normal week. And from then on, everything should be back to normal as far as our monthly contests go.

In order to make it up to everyone for all the inconvenience and disappointment, I will be offering a very nice prize package for each winner of the January pictures. The actual package will be announced as soon as I make some confirmations, but I can tell you that they will be worth at least $35 for each winner. Because of the offer of real prizes, all contest rules will be strictly adhered to, so please be sure to review them and make sure your picture fits!

If you have already submitted a picture, please be aware that you must re-submit it. You may send in the same one, or a new one...whichever suits you best.

The POTM theme will continue to be Holiday Pets. (click there for more details)

Once again, I apologize for dropping the ball so badly on this. Please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns you might have. Lost pictures cannot be recovered and I'm very sorry for any inconvenience that causes.

Bumping this back up for some attention! DON'T FORGET TO GET YOUR CONTEST ENTRIES SUBMITTED!!

Due to the breakdown of the contests over the holidays, I'm offering a nice prize package for each winner of this month's contests to help make up for my neglect.

Each winner will receive a BP.net T-shirt (we're all out of medium sizes...but have all other adult sizes available) AND a $20 gift card for either WalMart or Amazon.com (winner's choice).

Remember that this month's POTM theme is still "Holiday Pets" (any holiday is fine!) and that digital enhancements ARE allowed for this POTM theme. (So, if you have a picture of a pet you'd like to use that is not strictly holiday based, feel free to make it so with a little creative genius!)

Also, please note...ALL previous entries (prior to my original post on Jan 7th) to the contests were lost. If you submitted a picture before then, it will need to be resubmitted. I have no way of knowing who might have, so no way to contact individuals to warn them of the loss. If in doubt...go ahead and submit your picture. I'll sort it out if we get duplicates or whatever.

Today and tomorrow are the last two days to get your photos entered into the contests! Also the last two days to make sure you've met the minimum post-count requirement for your pictures to be included in the contests. Be sure to click on the link (great big giant bold letters) in the first post to review the rules, as well as find the links for submitting your images to the correct categories.
