I was able to find out that only 5 were imported in 2005 with the help of a zoo. These are the only 5 true pure blood imports ever to be brought into the USA. All sabogae's sold should be direct descendants of those 5 otherwise they are not the real deal. I guess there is not real visual difference between the sabogae and many salmon hypo BCI's. This is a shame because I believe in keeping these bloodlines alive. The very reason I got 2 Surinams and will never cross them with anything else.

If I get a pair im getting them from Vin Russo. He has 2 of 3 surviving original imports from that 2005 collection. From more recent reports of a breeders trip to the islands not a single boa was found. They are believed to be extinct in the wild now. So if yours is the real deal get another one to breed them and keep the species alive

BTW, little miss butter is still on strike. She laughed in my face when I told her I wanted to get her up to weight to breed and hasnt eaten since! Now im hoping for a little luck in that department lol.

Beautiful boa there too. I stare at the ones on vins page and just *sigh*
    Hi Monica,

You are right. There were only five imported from Sabogae. Rich Ilhe of SalmonBoa.com received some of them. Rich bred the boas, and sold a pair of hatchlings to Jeff Carr at West Coast Constrictor. Jeff bred his boas, and sold me a pair in 2008. Brian Taylor (BT41042) also bought a pair from Jeff from the same litter as mine. Here is a post from BT when he first got his in. He also included the Cites document that Jeff shipped him. I have a copy of the same documents, since mine were from the same litter. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...hlight=sabogae
