    Temp Question

Ok i got a 6 month old ball when i got her she had not ate in a while over a month. i got her in my setup and she is now doing very well she has ate 2 times in a row now for me and sunday when i fed her she struck in less then 10 seconds. right now she is in a 20 gal tank but i have it packed with stuff so its very tight. I have my hot side at 94 and the hide is at 92 on the hot side with my uth. then my cool side stays between 77-78 (so does the hide on the cool side) and that is my problem i am trying to get it up to 80 but cant seem to get it there. My humidity is about 55-60 but i manage that well. i just cant get my cool side right any ideas. When i got this bp it was not doing well. It has no ticks, mites or RI has been checked. and was dehydrated but not anymore. just need to get my cool side up and i cant get it the room shes in stays at about 78. Thanks

    Re: Temp Question

78 is fine for the cool side. It should not fall below 75* though.

    Re: Temp Question

78 will not harm your snake if you have a 90-94 hot side they can have access to.

All my snakes here at night get a room temp of 77 which in their tubs is 78-80.

    Re: Temp Question

You're fine, but if you want to get the temps up a llittle on cool side, place something solid over the top of the cool side(like a layer of tin foil, or a book that big enough to cover that side of the cage). This should raise the temps up a degree or two.

    Good Luck!
