    Blonde pastel

I have an opportunity to get a 3yr (probably male but owner never had it sexed) blond pastel. I did some research to see what one looks like and as far as I can tell from pictures I cant tell a difference between them and a normal pastel. So can someone give me some things to look for to be sure what I am getting. If it is a regular pastel I probably will still get it. But just to know how to tell the difference

    Re: Blonde pastel

I think the blonde pastel is just someones interpretation of the color they see. I have seen pastels that look like normals, some that are almost florescent, and every shade in between.

I have seen alot of BPs that they claim one thing and they look like something else or nothing at all. There is no doubt between a pastel and a normal. Although again some normals could probably pass as a pastel. But if they are reputable breeders then you should be fine.

    Re: Blonde pastel

Blonde pastels are just another line of pastel, just like NERD line or Graziani line. They're all the same gene.

    Re: Blonde pastel

Blonde pastels are the same gene as all other lines of pastel its just that they were selectively bred for certain traits like NERD's lemon pastel was bred to be super bright yellow while graziani's line was bred to have a lot of blushing
