I don't know. I sure would be proud to find 6 pieds pipping one day.
$6000 + worth of babies isn't too bad either.

But to eventually have super black pastel pieds and Silver Streak Pieds

Which would be more rewarding in the long term?

Breed your pieds together. Get 4-6 babies every year. Keep one female and sell the rest. After 3 years you've got 8-12 babies every year. Every year after that, you iincrease your breeders by one which means every year you increase your babies by 4-6. Now that's presuming everything goes well each year. Keep going like that and within 12 years, you've got a small fortune and then you can buy a super black pastel pieds pair or a Silver Streak Pieds pair. Thus accomplishing both tasks, becoming a pied god as well as setting up a future breeding plan without having to deal with the problems of working out a new morph.

    Just one man's opinion,

    Let's just say a 4 egg clutch.

    A) 4 Pied

    or

    B) 1 Pewter Het Pied, 1 Black Pastel het Pied, 1 Pastel Het Pied, 1 Het Pied.

I think clutch B would probably sell for more money as well as do more to advance your breeding options down the road.

But he was not talking about hets. It will take 6 + years to even think about Pewter pieds or black pastel pieds.

Now if you're just wanting het for pieds, then there's a big difference.

He said he was putting his Pied male and his Pewter male to his Pied female.

If he produces a Pewter Het Pied male or Black Pastel Pied male, either could be bred back to mom and produce Pewter Pied, Pastel Pied or Black Pastel Pied the following year. It would require some luck, but it would be possible.

Or you could produce a bunch of pieds and sell them for $800 each next season

Like Jay stated it can take as little as a year with luck..pewter h pied male can easily be ready for the next year...plug that to the female and prey to the ball python gods...I say this route cause pieds are out there already but not many pewter pieds and its also a multiple gene snake....simple gene snakes are becoming a thing of the past.......Again nothing wrong with an entire batch of pieds but you have to be ahead of the game with so many people into ball pythons....just my 0.02 cents...
