Difference in Mojave and Lesser Plat?
I have had a male mojave for a while and want to get a female lesser to cross. But some "lessers" look just like my mojave (with the almost black colors) and some have no black color like my mojave at all and are just shades of brown and tan?
Whats the deal with them? are there that much of a variation in colors or which is really the lesser BP?

Re: Difference in Mojave and Lesser Plat?
Some lessers can look similar to mojaves, which is why I'm so picky when I add new animals. I don't think that my lesser looks anything like my mojave.

I don't know, all Lessers/Butters I have seen have been much lighter than Mojaves, especially in their darker tones. Exactly like the contrasts on this post so far.

if you find a lesser that looks like a mojave it probably is a mojave. I have never seen a lesser that looks like a mojave. Just my opinion.

Re: Difference in Mojave and Lesser Plat?
The biggest difference I see is that lessers/butters have less "faces" in the alien heads. Most alien heads look more like eskimos or Kenny from South Park to me. A good example of a lesser/butter for me would have no dark circles in the "heads".

Re: Difference in Mojave and Lesser Plat?
There are obvious color and pattern differnces of the two morphs, if you cant see the difference then you haven't seen very many.
Like every morph there are better representations than others and uglier ones and prettier ones but any experienced eye can easily tell the difference and avoid the ugly ones that dont represent well.
I could show you some pastels that look like normals. That doesnt mean pastels look like normals but only that one is an ugly and bad representation of a pastel

This is what I thought they were supposed to be. But I have seen tons of ads selling what looks like mojaves but calling them lessers when clearly there is a huge difference in the 2. Perfect pics thanks. Thats what my 2 look like now.
