First off, thanks to everyone that has posted. I personally would have went ahead a purchased a pair, but when you have a business partner, they often have a different perspective. It sounds like that would be a sound investment. I really do not know too much about them, but do know that I have been interested in carpets for a while. One thing that had turned me away from carpets is that some have said that they will only eat mice, and some will only take live. However, I have heard others say that Bredlis will take f/t rats every time. I have also heard that most are very docile as adults.

To the above poster, I am not sure who I am going to purchase them from. I want to make sure that they are pure, and would like to buy a pair that are at least a year old. I saw BHB had some 08s available, so e-mailed him for pictures. He never got back to me. Let me know if you know any breeders that have some available.

    Re: Bredli market?

Ive seen that comment about carpets only eating mice also. But as ive looked around, i see that more and more breeders start their offspring out on rats since people hate to have to feed an adult a billion mice for it to be satisfied. I just got my first carpet and love him. He hasnt eaten yet but the breeder i got him from has had him on rat pinks and said he has had no problem feeding him even once. As far as the live part, i havent seen as much about that. My carpet will be feeding on F/T and has been so im not worried.

My carpet takes f/t rats like a champ, never refused for me. She's not a bredli though, I don't really know much about them.

    Re: Bredli market?

All our carpets are feeding machines. Babies are all on appropriately sized mice, and the adults are eating rats

They are actually such strong feeders that it's dangerous for your fingers to open their cages if you arent careful

    Re: Bredli market?

Bredli actually tend to be better feeders than other carpets. The lower humidity required for them also makes them a bit easier to keep. I definitely think they're worth breeding and plan on doing so myself.
