Help , My ball regurged while cleaning :SS
ok so today i putted my ball python in a temp vivarium after handling so i clean her viv. after some hours she started pooping alot and then my girlfriend found a regurged mouse.
i found some splashing on the newpaper but i dont know if its from the poop or vomit wich i dont hope so since i heard thats dangerous, i don't know if i can post pics of the scene if so i will.
i must mention that last meal was after 6days instead of 7days since the meal before i couldn't go buy the mice so i fed her wednesday instead of tuesday and then i fed her last tuesday wich was after 6days since the meal before the last one was wednesday. i don't know if 1day can make a difference but well i leave this to the experts. i already had regurgs accidents with my corn wich now he;s doing and eating meals fine and i don't want to pass the same thing again.
EDIT:also i have to mention that i had to touch her 24hours after eating her last meal since she shedded the days after eating and had a piece stuck on her tail
so it could be one of those reasons but i dunno.

This reminds me of a post where someone claimed a BP regurged after 8 days.
If you fed her 5 days ago, there shouldn't have been anything to regurgitate.

ok then explain me how the regurged mouse ended up in the temporary vivarium wich isn't used by any animal other then my snakes when im cleaning there primamry aquarium (i own a small corn and a ball, and the ball is the only one that eats adult mice)
i will post a pic of the regurged mouse and and the scene where it happened , but if there's another explanation how the regurged adult mice ended up in the container other then regurging (walking dead mice? or maybe it came out of the other end not completly digested? ) pls tell me.
P.S im not trying to make fun of things, i just can't find an explanation, and yes im thinking the same as you how come it regurged 6days after she ate...

Re: Help , My ball regurged while cleaning :SS
ok your post is a little hard to read since it seems like you are totally freaking out.
But it sounds like you fed her one day earlier than you normally do...which should not be a big deal. But 24 hours after she ate you took her out due to a shed issue.
Is that right?
If so...I bet she did that due to the handling too soon after she ate. But then again....I have not been doing this that long. As far as a shed issue ....I probably would of waited to handle that until after the 48 hours had passed. Digesting her food is way more important than some shed left on her tail.
But keep this thread going so someone with more experience can reply.

If its in fact a mouse regurge after 5 days then be glad the snake threw it up.
This is a sign of bad temps if the mouse has not digested after 5 days and if it were to stay in her, the mouse would only rot in the stomach.

That would be the only other reason she would still have a mouse in her belly after 5 days. What are your temps and how are you tracking them? Oh, and are you using a heat lamp or an UTH?

Re: Help , My ball regurged while cleaning :SS
OK OK, So sorry for being so freaked out first things, but after my bad expirience with my corn snake regurg wich now hopefully passed i don't want this to happen to my ball.
so i will try to explain better, but my english is bad so i don't know how to perfectly explain in english since i live on an island called malta and english is not my language.
i feed my snakes on Tuesdays. not last feeding, but the feeding before i fed on wednesday instead. and then last feeding i fed on tuesday like usual. so between 2 feedings ago and the last feed there were 6days instead of 7.
now, for heat i use a UTH. and for controlling the temps, i know im gonna get shouted at but im controlling them with a kitchen decorative thermometre. i know , i should get a tempgun , and i bought it already at 3rd december wich was shiped to malta from hong kong on 5th december and is still not here (alot of things to ship for christmas maybe) but should be here this week hopefully. temps are fine on the kitchen thermometre but yeah i know its not reliable, but if it where temps issues wouldn have she regurged in her last 4feedings too? but well i'll leave that to you guys.
im gonna upload pics in some minutes, thanks for the help so far and i hope i explained the situation better.

Are you sure it wasn't just a fuzzy poop?

Need to know TEMPS not how you control them right now.
And yes snakes can not digest fur so they poop is out.
