Pastel colors improving with each shed

It seems that most pastel darken significantly as they age. Yet I have only which seems to be brightening up with each shed and her blushing becoming more pronounced. Is there something that happens often?

Pastels tend to brighten in their first year and then as they age will begin to brown. How old is yours?

Pastels can go through different stages.

They can actually change colors many times in the first year or so. I have one that went from neon yellow to a bright orange with pinkish along the sides. But not the orange that looks brownish. Now im waiting to see what the next color she will turn is. Pastels do some crazy things.

Mine is keeping his color so far. He may even be getting brighter. I'll have to compare his baby picture to a recent photo of him. He's an '07 so we shall see where is color ends up in a few years. It would be interesting for someone to post progression pictures of different pastels from hatchling through all its stages into adulthood.
