    Dumeril's AP Cage Size

Hey everyone. My Dumeril's Boa girl that I whole-heartily purchased from Pat Long is starting to get pretty big. Pretty big that I'm figuring she will outgrow the 41q tub she is currently in. I figured I'd start looking into what Animal Plastic size cage I wanted to get.

I know what I want to get for my male boa and male carpet, but I don't want to get an AP cage that ends up being too small because I underestimated her size capability. Assuming she gets to her 'full' adult female size, what would be the desired size cage for her? I know I want terrestrial, because she burrows constantly. I was looking at the:
    T8 48Lx24Dx12H

Would that be big enough for her? Could I even go smaller to the T5 36Lx24Dx24H ?

Thanks everyone! Here's some updated pictures of her too.

Her in shed coiled up in her 41q.

I think most people are likely going to recommend a 6ft enclosure for an adult female Dum. You're talking about a snake with the potential of reaching 8-9 feet...

48 would be very cramped for a fully grown adult female...36 would not be an option. Unless you are looking for another "temporary" size...I think you're looking at a 5-6ft enclosure, preferrably 6.

    I would have a hard time keeping a Dum in a 6' cage....thats a HUGE cage...thats just MY opinion.

I think a 4' cage is PLENTY of room for an 8' snake....and when she hits the acutal 8-9' mark....its not THAT crazy of an idea to upgrade again if you see fit, and use the 4' for something else.

That's why I was a little confused. I see people using 6ft cages for Retics and Burms without issues (not usually adults but still pretty big animals). I think I'll go ahead and get the T8 and see how she grows into it. If she does seem to need more space, I'll upgrade again and use that cage for my BCI male.

    Thanks Pat!

i agree with pat I think she will be fine in a 4 footer and like he said if you feel the need to upgrade again once she gets bigger you will have an empty 4 foot cage for something else
