Also, it's a pretty good reference. Supply and demand on that auction house highly determines prices, and people are constantly trying to undercut other peoples' auctions. Just like in real life a lot of time.

It's unfortunate, I'd rather just have the high price for a quality animal.
I'm not relating it to religion, I just stole a line from The Waterboy.

There are three reasons I wouldn't relate the auction house of WoW to the snake industry of the U.S.

1. There are thousands of people in poor countries who play the game ("Chinese gold farmers", not that any or all of them are Chinese) and alter the in game economy.

2. Those people, as well as others, will buy up entire available quantities of things and resell them at a higher price. The auction house is run at their whim.

3. The game constantly "prints" money for anyone who seeks it. In the U.S. only the "Federal" Reserve can do this and does so in their best interest, -ahem-, I mean for the government.
