    Follicles

I have been trying to look up this subject on the internet and it seems that the people who feel for follicles seem to say this is a rather easy task and can even predict what eggs and even slugs a female is going to lay.

However since people such as Markus Jayne dont feel for follicles as they find it difficult to do i was just wondering if poeple on here do this and find it easy / hard to do. also if they ever miss follicles in a female

On paper it seems a simple enough task to do but i never feel anything so was just after anyones experiences with feeling for follicles

    Re: Follicles

I have tried it and "think" I felt 5 follicles in one of my females but I can't be 100% on that. And I have one that came to me with follicles the previous owner told me and I don't feel anything?? But I do know that I find it rather difficult to do since most of my girls tend to tighten up when I try.

We are pretty good at palpating (even though we have an ultrasound machine) , the past seasons we guessed every females clutch size right. We dont palpate after they ovulate so we never feel for slugs, we like leaving them alone. Hope this helps

I used to be pretty good and accurate with my right hand, after losing that hand in an auto accident I just can't get the feel for it left handed. I just wait and see.

We have never had that happen.
