This could go one of two ways
Ok on the good (and more likely) side it could be just a little urine or gas in the lower bowel causing that feeling I've seen that..(then they pee on you)
Now for the scary side you could have given the injection wrong (i.e. to steep an angle or to deep) and done damage to the intestine and the swelling is due to this trauma..
But I'm more inclined to think its the first

Re: Mojave swollen after baytril
I have no advice for you as thank goodness I have not had to do this. However I would like to say maybe a call and another trip to the vet should be your next step

Re: Mojave swollen after baytril
If the swelling is at the injection site, then it could be that you injected the Baytril subdermally, meaning that you didn't get the Baytril into the muscle, but just under the skin. I'm not saying this is what happened, but just a possibility.
Pictures would be good too.
Good Luck!

Re: Mojave swollen after baytril
I have had this happen a couple times and it was just gas and pee. The back end feels like a balloon. Put him in some luke warm water, I find that makes mine go if they need too.

Must be some side-effect of antibiotics. Anyone had this turn out badly? I noticed it too in a female on Amikacin.
