do people sell salamander
me and my gf, were talking and we've attend 4 expso and never saw people selling salamanders as pets. i remember as a kid i caught and keep a red salamander withred spot on it, does any body know what specisis that is.also does any body know if there even legal to sell

You don't see much native stuff other then newts,(what you had as a kid might have been the land phase of the red spotted newt which is called a red eft) but I've got a friend who has been breeding and selling Fire Salamanders for years. I usually share a table with him at the Iowa Herp societies annual show. Be warned though that captive bred and born ones can be kind of pricey, They grow very slowly and it takes quite a few years for them to reach maturity.

Check out caudata.org. Has all things salamandra, newts, axolotls, etc.
