If this is your only reptile you can keep it in a tank no problem, it's nice to look at even if the snake is hiding most of the time. Besides, mine is a bit adventurous and when I'm lucky enough to catch him roaming around at night he seems to love wrapping around a bit of branch I put in there.

You can probably get a Zoo Med under tank heater at your local pet store, just make sure you get either a thermostat (the ReptiTemp 500r is a good one for one enclosure) or a dimmer (like a lamp dimmer, should be ten bucks at the hardware store). This will give your snake the belly heat they need to digest without sucking humidity like a lamp does.
