    ?? about a bad shed

soo my normal female shed again for the 2nd time.. and it was not a full shed again.. i know this is because of humidity.. but i followed a step by step guid on one of the threads... that showed how to get the skin that she couldn't get off... off of her..

but the prob is she still has some on one part of her head and on her eye.. i tried helping her out but she wont hold still for me to help her at all.. and the eye cap is starting too look real dry so what is the best way to go abou this???

Dampen a washcloth and put the snake and washcloth into a pillow case. Tie the pillow case end, so the snake can't get out. Leave the snake inside the pillow case for about an hour and check on him. If the shed hasn't been removed keep trying for another hour. I'd say for up to maybe 6 hours. That's as long as the snake is warmed.

REMEMBER to keep the snake warm. If you can fit the pillowcase inside his enclosure, that would be great. If not, find a place that will keep him warm.
If you use a CHE to heat the enclosure, make sure the pillow case doesn't get too warm and possible catch on fire.

    Good Luck!

I use clear packing tape to remove stuck eye caps. You have to be sure that there is a stuck eye cap though or you would hurt the snakes eye. I just hold the snake roll a piece of tape in to a circle put my finger in the middle of it and gently stick it to the eye cap and then pull it off the eye cap comes off the first try usually.

    Hi,

Soak her in a tupperware container with 86f water half way up her sides for 30 minutes then just grab her head and don't let her go untill you have removed the stuck shed - use your fingers and a water sprayer.

Start at the front of the stuck shed - so it might be the edge on the tip of her nose and rub it (towards her tail ) gently.

They don't like you mesing with their heads but soemtimes you have to just resign youself to being hated for 10 minutes.
