    constant in temp and humidity?

    do the wet grasslands of west africa remain as constant in temp and humidity as our setups do?

    Seriously tho, of course not. I dont think anywhere in the world has a constant temperature 24 hours a day (or 12/12 etc). If you mean consistent, then I would still say no. Temperatures fluctuate within a certain margin every year.

    guess i was trying to make a point. ive never been as constant or consistent as most on here and ive had happy healthy snakes for over 20 years...

    There are obviously minimums and maximums as far as temps / hum goes for proper care. If kept within that range then there shouldnt be any problems.

    That is why they live longer in captivity! All you can do is try your best to maintain temps and humidity! Everyones temps and humidity goes up and down a little!

    For what it is worth, I received my copy of "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley of NERD. In it he discusses the ball pythons "exist in tropical arid conditions and live within temperature extremes of 60F to 110F."
