Not many Albino Clowns out there???

Albinos have been out for a wile(15ish yrs) and clowns have been out for a wile (10-ish yrs). I would think this cool combo would be more prevalent. Bu I can't find many pix out there of this combo.

Possible set back with clowns perhaps??

I heard that something happened to a large collection of clowns years back. what happened?

What heppened is that 1:16 odds is hard to hit..so people have been focusing on Co-DOm X Clown combos..

Clowns also didn't catch on much except within the past 5 years, and considering how long it takes to grow up a pair of ball pythons (Best case scenario is 3 years, but that isn't always the case) 10 years can fly by.

Re: Not many Albino Clowns out there???

I'm glad I decided to invest in mostly recessives. I like how they hold their worth better.

But yeah, I think I've seen more Albino G-stripes than Albino Clowns. Very strange. I considered making Albino G-stripes since I'll have both, but like Tim above, I don't really like that combo either. Maybe if the Albino were super high-contrast, but that's about it. Albino Clowns look better due to more pattern, but they're still not all that pretty. But hey, they are certainly genetic powerhouses!

Because breeders only have 1/16 chance (since most people use double hets) of getting the double recessive, if they do produce one or two, they will probably hang onto them instead of selling them, which perpetuates their rarity.
