Re: Spider Albino ??
You will need either an Albino female or a Spider female.. with what you have the odds are against you..
You can breed the spider to the Het female but then you only get a 50/50 shot at a spider and a 50/50 shot that that spider is het for albino..Then you'd have to grow it up and breed it to an albino female or mom to even have a hope at producing one.

Re: Spider Albino ??
yep. you'll have to breed spider to albino, get a spider het for albino and breed it back to an albino for spider albinos.

Re: Spider Albino ??
I have four suggestions...
1) Buy an albino female to breed to the male spider... Which will give you normals and spiders (all of which being 100% Het Albino), and then breed one of those spiders back to the female albino (if its a male), or back to the male albino (if its a female)...
2) Breed the male albino to the female het, hope for a female albino and do what i said before ^ except for the Buying a female albino part.. lol
3) Breed both the albino and spider to the het albino female and pray for a double sired clutch.. Im not sure if that would give you a chance of albino spiders though, someone please correct me if im wrong..
4) Look for a female spider het albino for sale to breed to the male albino

Re: Spider Albino ??
Honestly, you really don't have what you need to make them and even if you did buy a Spider Het. Albino for like $600-800, then you would still only have a 1 in 4 chance of getting that Spider Albino. I first had the same thing in mind and right now i have a female spider and a male Albino. But honestly its going to take a few tries to get that Spider Albino unless you hit the jackpot.

Trade one of the morphs for the opposite sex and go that route. That would be the least expensive way to do it.

Re: Spider Albino ??
There are many ways to get to Spider Albino. It's all about cash vs. time.
If you have the time, then you have what you need now.
Albino female X Het Albino female. Keep Albino females and raise them up.
Spider male X Albino females = Keep 1 Spider Het male and breed him back to all your Albino females.
This will take a number of years, depending on how old your current Het Albino is. If she's an 09, then you are looking at waiting a couple years for her to mature, then waiting 2-3 years for an albino female to get big enough to breed with your spider. The year after that you end up with a shot at Spider Albino.
If you want a Spider Albino today, I saw one for sale on Kingsnake for $1850. If you are set on producing one yourself, but don't want to wait as long as the above plan, you need to get yourself another female. The options are Albino female (to later breed with your Spider) or a Spider Het Albino (to breed later with your Albino).
Albino female is probably the cheaper route. Spider Het Albino female is the quicker route.
I would advise against going with a Spider female to get there. You already have the Spider gene in your collection.

Re: Spider Albino ??
Yeah honestly, just make some Albinos with your male and Het female and use that money to buy a spider Het albino and thats the quickest way.

Re: Spider Albino ??
ok so make sure i got this cause this is my goal to reach .
Take a spider male breed it to a female albino its cant be het it has to be 100% albino, then you get 50% het albino and 50% het albino spiders .
take the het albino spiders and breed them to a male or female albino and its a 1 in 4 shot to get the spider albino correct?
or take a spider female breed it to a male albino and etc correct ? doesnt mater what one is male and female right ?
or find a het albino spider female and breed it to my male albino .
Do i have this correct?

Re: Spider Albino ??
Hi,
Mostly yes.
I would change the phrasing to make it clearer in this sentence from;
Take a spider male breed it to a female albino its cant be het it has to be 100% albino, then you get 50% het albino and 50% het albino spiders .
To;
Take a spider male breed it to a female albino its cant be het it has to be 100% albino, then you get half the hatchlings being het albino and half being het albino spiders .
Also there might be a time difference if you do it this way;
or take a spider female breed it to a male albino and etc correct ? doesnt mater what one is male and female right ?
The reason being if your albino female is up to breeding weight already as she is in the first scenario then she can be mated back to her son the following year possibly.
But if you use a spider as the female then you have to wait until the hatchling female spider het albino reaches breeding weight which can take 3 years.
It just adds an extra 3 years potentially to the process if you are starting with all the animals at the same age.
