I read that and was appalled! That is the style with the boys right now and while I can understand having a dress code but length of hair is ridiculous and quite frankly kind of sexist. My husband is extremely conservative...23 in the military...and our sons hair is long. In fact I never cut his hair until he was 5 and it was long ringlets down past the middle of his back. Now he is 9 and still wears it long....just not like that! It has nothing to do with schooling or a learning thing. It is ppl being ridiculous!!
Now as far as medicating.....I work at a school and do see a need sometimes...but I think it is much more of a rarely needed thing. Many boys in paticular are just boys.....they are crazy...wild and take a lot longer to settle down and get to a routine. I think you have to take a look at their home life...tramatic experiences, certain foods and routines. Most of the time I think that will fix a lot of the problem.
