Could be worse. There are actually schools out there that still enforce corporal punishment as well. Trust me, I went to one (Mr. Wentzel had a heck of a swing with that paddle). Maybe it was just Vernon Parish Louisiana that did that. We also had a dress code and had to wear school uniforms.
