    new additions for us

so in the last two weeks we managed to get 4 more new additions to the herp family, a crestie that is hopefully a female-

this guy doesnt seem to have the huge manly bits that Tonks had at that same size

A female normal ball python name Annabell:

she just fed tonight and seems to have a great feeding responce

we got both of those from the White plains show in NY

and this week got another 2 snakes from Snake Eyes Exotics (great ppl and awesome prices!!)

here is Bugsy, a DH sunglow and 100% het for albiono male RTB-

and no name as of yet- Female spider ball-

both these guys are so incredibly gorgeous!

ANNND our non eater first ball python (got him october 2008 and he hasnt eaten since about may or so) well he finally shed, a nice full shed ( with a little bit of our help) and since hes a wee bit on the small side and hasnt been doing so well, we decided to assist feed him because im starting to get worried. he is VERY small for a year old (weighs about 580g) and has lost a bit of weight over the summer. I have done everything I could- changed his hide, his substrate, braining- you name it- and nothing. So today we managed to get a hopper mouse down his throat which he won't regurgitate hopefully! (I used Kevin McCurley's book "Ball Pythons in Captivity" as a guide for the assisted feeding- he has very nice descriptions and pictures so I think we did good.) We will wait to make sure that it is digested before offering or assisting again. I really want this guy to be ok- he was my first snake and is still my favorite!

    thanks for looking

Beautiful animals, especially the normal ball girl.

And best of luck with the assisted feeding. I have been enduring the same with two hatchlings I bought at a show a month back, and it has been racking my nerves this whole time. Yesterday I assist fed them, 2nd time for one and the 1st meal for the other; and I slept so well knowing they had a small amount of nourishment. Let's cross our fingers for our little boogers!

thanks we assist fed Pistachio- the non eater pastel 3 times now and he seems much better, the first time was really easy cuz he was pretty weak i think, but hes getting stronger now and hopefully next time he will eat on his own (we also introduced him to Anabelle, the normal female thats similar sized to him....so...perhaps

hope yur guy is doing good too
