E-mail, fax, write to, and meet with your representative and senators. Spread the word about this bill and get others to do the same. Tell your local pet shops, reptile specialty stores, and veterinarians.

There are other things that will help as well, but if you don't want to read through the massive wall of (mostly repeated) text of the USARK e-mails, just scroll to the bottom. They have links and info for spreading the word and telling our Congressmen (sorry, I'm not PC) how we feel about this legislation.

Good point...though I have to wonder how many people not related to the reptile industry happen across that page.... *helpless shrug*

www.nosnakeban.com has 5 simple steps that help each one of us to achieve a maximum result for our efforts. The opening page is an information center with the bans current states as well as tons of background and links related to The National Python & Boa ban. Clicking on the "TAKE ACTION NOW" image will take you to our Action Center. Launched within 24 hours of S. 373 being reported out of committee to the full senate, it's already received thousands of visitors that took direct action to contribute to the fight and traffic is steadily increasing. The Action Center is designed in a way that allows EVERYONE, not just reptile owners to speak out. My family, neighbors, and members of my church have all visited the site and taken action.

This isn't a one time shot, but instead has to be a sustained effort over the course of many weeks. The National Pet Association will continue to update www.nosnakeban.com with all of the current information about The National Python & Boa ban and as information comes in about the effectiveness of our efforts, we will use the site to adjust our strategy accordingly.

Input from all is welcome ... comments, requests, or questions can be sent to info@nosnakeban.com.

Thank you for your help and support.

    Sincerely,
    -Adam Wysocki
