The cool side of the pillow...
Soooo I posted something a while back regarding breeding my females that where a little over 2 years old. Both tipping the scales in the 1400gram range, one being a hair under 1500. They have both been wrapping the water bowl, and spending more and more time at the front/cool side of the cage. I caught one girl inverted and I was a little worried but the temps are fine humidity is good. They have been eating and cruising the cage business as usual. Both males I have have been cruising the cage more then usual, they have been eating but not with the same feeding response they use to have. One male is about 18mo and the other 2 years. Any ideas or suggestions? I thought they where trying to say they where ready to breed but I'm not 100% sure, I figured those with more experience would be able to let me know.
Side note it has been getting colder and the past 3 days has been nothing but rain for the most part. Thanks in advance guys.

If the females are on the cool side more and laying inverted their ready for the males now.
Introduce your males 3 days in 3 days out for rest.

Not to be a newb or anything but doing some reading there is no "rule" or anything so since they are showing signs and are of adequate weight their age is not that big a factor?

Two years and there weight sounds perfect to me. Since its been raining I would guess it sparked something in the females I would start pairing them up.

They are sure acting like they want to breed to Big Gunns. Let the males get some action.

Re: The cool side of the pillow...
Well I sat back and thought about it and from calling a local breeder he felt I should try my luck. He breeds at 1200grams with positive results. I put the pairs together and the het pairing are trying to get the ball rolling, I noticed some tail wrapping and what not so who knows. The main pair albino/pied just trying to warm up to each other, I hope they catch on however. I'm going to take the advice from the form and they have 2 days left with one another then a break and back at it again. Any suggestions on rotating males after the first 3 days or just leave it as it stands? Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Big Gunns...their getting all the cations they can want.
Snake porn = priceless
