    It’s ironic, because I have been doing a ton of research lately on the Burmese Python. I think they are absolutely beautiful animals but just too large for me, and I’m still a beginner.

    I have read that they have docile temperaments but their bite can be nasty. I was actually looking into the Dwarf Burmese but I understand these are expensive and difficult to find. What do you think about the temperament of the Burms?

    Also is the size and danger of the snake a real issue or hype? Is it more of a common sense thing? (Secure the enclosure, always have 2 people present when handling, yada, yada, yada) I’m concerned because I understand both adult Burms and Retics can kill an adult pereson, if the adult is sleeping and the animal gets access to an otherwise unaware sleeping adult – real or hype?

    Sorry for all the questions, thought I’d ask someone who really knows : )
