Any 4 x 2 enclosure will work well. I switched over to the Iris VE175 tubs and they're PERFECT, and they're 52 x 20 x 13 or so. I WAS using Animal Plastics T-10's and those worked perfect, good solid cages.

I hated RHP's so I don't recommend them for Ground Pounders. Arboreal species keepers seem to like them though. I used Flexwatt for the cages, the new 175 rack uses it as Dual Side Radiant Heat.

No books at the moment, the Barkers over at VPI are supposedly working on a book though.

Have you looked up feeding schedules, temperatures, humidity etc etc for the Blood and Short Tail Python species?
