To all that have xbox 360...

Why wont my xbox 360 let me set it to hd even though its on a hdtv?
Ok so i have had my xbox set up to a hd tv and it played on hd absolutely fine but my brother took the wires out and now wen i set it to hdtv on the av cable my tv says "no signal"? Wtf it only lets me see the dashboard if i set it to tv, and now i have to play in garbage quality. What the hell?

I think there's a little switch that you have to flip to change between standard and HD.

    I have it circled here:

are the green, blue, and red tipped connectors plugged in? or are the standard red, yellow, and white connectors plugged in?

also, I switched everything over to the HDMI cable...much much better and easier than dealing with all those cables.

You do have a HD TV right? What kind?
