    My two rescues.

I picked these dogs up on the side of the road by my buddy's shop. The female pit looked to be in rough shape. She had what looked like a rash on her back and was underweight. The male however looked to be well taken care of and had a collar on. So I fed them some hotdogs and they fell in love with me I guess. haha. I put a found ad on craigslist and was contacted by the neighbor of the male's owner. The owner wanted to remain anonymous, but stated that he didn't want the dog. He's such a sweet dog, I don't see how they can just disregard him like that. some people...

It's been a while since I've had a dog so I'm gonna keep both of them. I know they love car rides and hotdogs. They've given me a couple of presents so far. I'm now the proud owner of 1 dead chicken and 1 dead squirrel.

Anyway, a couple vet visits later, they are both doing just fine with clean bills of health. I know the rules... here's BabyGirl(white/brindle pit) and Tank(brown dog).

She doesn't look much like the pits around here, but they are both cute and bless you for taking them in! I live out in the country and we get a lot of drop-offs. So far we have found them all good homes

    Re: My two rescues.

Did you talk directly to the owner, or just the neighbor? If you just talked to the neighbor, how can you be so sure the neighbor is telling the truth. Maybe the dog barked a lot or pooped in his yard one too many times and he's trying to make sure the dog doesn't come back. I dunno, first thing that popped into my head. I would make sure you contact the actual owner.

Either way, both dogs are beautiful.
    Under Construction.....

It appears the female has little to no pit bull in her.

    Thanks for rescuing them both.

Beautiful dogs, God bless you for taking them in! Please dont forget to spay/neuter so you dont end up with more than a couple dead critters to get rid of.
PS pit bulls vary greatly so hard to say if your girl is pit of not???
