    my bp rescues tongue is yellowish

    my bp rescues tongue is yellowish and not flicking. any suggestions are appreciated...

    Have you had a fecal done on him/her yet? Could be anemic if infested with blood-sucking parasites...either way, a vet visit would be in order!

    Keep temps and humidity up.
    Would you breed a wobbler dog even though it had a cool coat?

    ok, what looked to be the tongue has fallen off and her mouth looks perfect and she seems very happy. what the heck could be going on here?

    Maybe she had a piece of substrate in her mount and it looked like her tongue. Just a thought. Seems like the most logical explanation to me.

    The op never said the tongue fell off. They said the yellow thing that appeared to be the tongue fell off. It was probably a bit of aspen that got into the mouth.

    thank you my friend my tanks are perfect. she's a rescue. it "appeared" to be her tongue because the first sign was a small yellowish thing coming from her tongue hole and each day it came out further til it fell out. she really does seem relieved "happy". i will watch and pray for her to flick it soon but ive read that snakes do ok if in fact it was her tongue...
