A question for those studying in herpetology. What exactly can you do with a major in it. I am just curious, I'm sure there's a million things out there but I just can't think of anything right now........And welcome John

Presumably one could go into academia - pursue a PhD and then get paid to do research and teach. Beyond that, I'm not too sure what you could do, but then, I'm not in that field, so there are probably tons of wonderful careers I'd never think of.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

Thanks for the replies, I enjoy everyone's welcome. Well I plan on teaching in the future( either college professor or high school teacher) and hopefully get a PhD to research toxins(future plans) in amphibians. I could also work at a zoo or some other herp related organizations. Since I am in the process of getting a degree in just Biology, I can get into a variety of positions in related Biology fields.

The main plans right now is just getting a job.
