Red face Ball pythons and moving

I'm not moving anywhere but I was wondering what you would do if you moved a long way, like over 500 miles what would you do with your racks and snakes?

Well when we were considering moving (12 hr drive one way) The movers would have moved our house hold goods... Our animals would have been put in tubs and moved one vehicle the truck would have had racks and tanks in the bed clothes in the back seat critters would have probably ride in the back of my vw has a heater/ac vent in the hatch back

Well I moved from NY to NC about 2 years ago. All of my snakes were bagged in snake bags and stayed in the car with me for the 2 day trip. None of them appearred to be stressed out, and all have been doing great since.

    Re: Ball pythons and moving

Well, we moved 1300+ miles, from Denver CO to Puyallup WA, just a few months ago. We rode in a 26' Penske truck (driven by my ex) and the cages were in the back, pretty much the last things loaded up. The snakes were in individual pillowcases in two tubs with dividers that made 4 chambers in each tub. The BPs were in one, the corns in the other. I placed those instant hand/toe warmer packs in with them and had the BP tub under my side of the seat and the corn tub on my lap. It was like that the whole way. Oh, and my BTS was in his box in the middle on my BFs lap.

When we stopped at motels, I just took the tubs in, checked on everyone, offered them water and put the tubs in the bathroom for the night. They all were fine and dandy when we got here, albeit a bit miffed at me.
