With a little help from Sir Isaac Newton, this one slides right down....

They are cool to watch, but if you want to see a sloppy pig eating their prey, watch a Dumerils Boa eat. When I bred for a living, I had one 6-7 foot female that would start striking at the plexiglas as soon as I walked into the snakeroom, and would absolutely pound on the glass until I was able to slowly open the door, just enough to get a hook on her). Then it was fun trying to get the Large Rat into the enclosure without having 1/4 inch teeth embedded into my hands and forearms. Then she was so violent constructing a dead rat. She would then eat the snake in record time.

BTW, it's cool you child is interested in your snakes. Way to go.

    Amazing,

Too funny we jokingly call little dogs....gerbils

I love feeding day! It is so amazing to watch them. I have a 9 yr old and it is a busy day when we feed....we have so many kids that come over to watch. I even got in trouble from a 15 yr old last week because I did not come over to get him when we fed the snakes.

That's awesome, beautiful photos! Glad he's eating well for you. I was really worried about getting mine to eat when I got her.
