That's a very good, and somewhat ironically funny, point.
Global warming will indeed take care of the problem of Burmese pythons in the Everglades. Burmese aren't ocean dwellers.

I agree, and apologize for my earlier statement. I had an observation at school tonight and when I came home for my break and this was added on top of that stress... blargh! It was too much! But we are all on the same side here, and we want to see this bill DEAD.

I might also point out that if we are going after dangerous and destructive invasives that have the potential for spreading across the nation, why are we not going after the common domestic cat? They are feral all over the place, they spread diseases that can harm humans and domestic animals... but why isn't anyone pushing against cats??? Hmm....

I was curious so I just looked up how many people die from cat allergies a year in the U.S. and it's about 50. I believe that's more then have ever died from "Large Constrictor Snakes" in just one yeat.

    Re: HSUS Celebrates S373 Passage

    In the US:
90 people are killed each year by lightning.
20 people are killed each year by cattle.
Over 100 are killed each year by horses.
40 people are killed (in the US and Canada together) by pigs.
    17 each year by dogs.

An average of less than 1 a year are killed by giant constrictors.

Those are some great talking point stats!! Lets find out about the other questions too.

If we post on here facts for others to see it only arms us with important points that we all can speak to.....that way we don't just sound like we are uninformed and "complaining" without really being educated on the true facts. Lets keep this going!!

so will states bordering Canada still be able to ship to Canada?

I'm wondering if this will basicly put an end to canada/usa snake trades for those banned snakes? I was just in the process of buying 3 retics.

Also they dont seem to exempt the dwarf variations.. kind of a sin.
