I definately agree, could, is the operative word. Things go to senate all the time and don't pass I was just trying to emphasise the direness of the situation. We need to be fighting this full force! I totally agree with you.

I got my family who a few years ago would run from snakes Supporting our fight. They actually love holding them all the time when they are visiting. They are calling and emailing to help us out as much as they can.

Absolutely, we have to keep fighting it. The grass roots efforts of USARK and PIJAC cannot stay with just us, we need to be out their spreading this word to everyone we know and asking for support, real support with the letters, faxes, emails amd calls. I was very surprised how many of my freinds who wont touch one of my animals (3 Species on that list) quickly made calls and drafted letters ... you never know until you ask.

I've got a few of my friends to do the same, unfortunately my mom has said from day 1 of me owning a ball python "that should be illegal", hopefully she never gets her wish. Laws like these have farther ranging effects then just on python or reptile owners. They have the potential to lead to others laws that will affect everbody.

Even people who don't keep snakes should fight this, it's a gross violation of personal property rights.

Couldn't agree more the federal government is trying to rape us of our liberties and this is something that every American should be worried about.

If you haven't been involved in this yet, it is time. The HSUS will come after all exotic pets if given the chance.

PLease do not stop fighting just because theres only nine listed. We as a reptile community need to stand together for whatever they try to ban. I know some people could care less if they banned the big snakes or the venomous snakes but theres people out there that truely care for these animals. As long as we keep fighting. We can beat this. It isnt over yet.

Does it matter?? If Balls are not on the list now, do you think the HSUS will be happy with their victory and go home now, content? No... they will be back for more sooner or later.

It makes me depressed the amount of apathy I am seeing from SNAKE people on this bill... if we don't stand up for our brothers and sisters that keep larger snakes, there won't be anyone left to stand up for us when they come for our smaller guys.
