Is there no way I can make this work with the cage I have? I mean with the tub I would have to buy another UTH for it and another acccrite. Where would I put the tub? In the cage? I'm very confused......

When I got my Lemon Pastel I put her in a 20g tank. She didn't eat for about 3 weeks due to this. I switched her to a small tub, waited 5 days, offered food and she took it right away. Move him to a tub, it'll only cost about $15 at the most. And it'll fix your humidity.

Thing is I spent around 180 on crap for the tank......what am I going to do with it now if I just ditch it?
If I were to get a tub how would I set it up?
I don't have a rack so just get a 5 gallon UTH and put in on the bottom of it with a hide on 1 side and a water bowl on the other? Poke holes in it for air and put aspen down for bedding?
I just got my therostat in so I'm good with that now.
Let's do say I put him in a 6 qt tub for a month then upgrade him to a 15 for another few months, could I put him back in the 20 gallon after that?? I mean I have all the stuff......
Don't get me wrong I want my little guy to eat it's just I don't want waste money. I'm a poor college kid and throwing 200+ bucks worth of reptile supplies and tank out the window seems wasteful. So in like 3 months could I switch it back to the 20G.

thats what i did to get her to feed and the set up i have her in the help her feel secure. plus i used a live rat pup to feed i have a picture but cant find it now.

the waiting a week thing for a tiny ball (mine was 74g when i got her)is a little long though in my opinion.two days should be more then enough time for the next attempt.

Some snakes will eat well no matter what the size of the cage, but some need a smaller more secure cage to get going. You could probably get away with moving him back into the larger cage after he gets going well on feeding for a few months.

Alright how do I set up a tub.....the 6 seems small to me, but what do I know. lol I can put the hide he already has on 1 side but idk where I can find a water bowl that small.....also there doesn't seem that much space to roam, does it matter?

I as well spent about $160 for all the stuff in the tank. I was sooo upset when I found out it was too big. I used the tub for about 2-3 months, and now put her back in the tank. She's about 450g, and she's perfectly fine in the tank. I also got two more snakes, so the tub is being put to use.

If you didn't stick the UTH to the bottom of the tank, all you'll need is the tub. If you did, you'll need an UTH and the tub. You have accu-rites, hides, a water bowl, all the necessary stuff for a tub.

Edit: I switched her from a 20g to a 16 qt tub. It worked fine. If you really want to go the secure way, you can buy a 6qt. But, if you want to chance it, you can buy a 16qt.
