    For reasons that were previously mentioned by dr del, I would get a female. Your male fire could pair up with multiple females. A female can only have one clutch at a time so having more males than females isn't ideal to me. Only problem is if you want to do this next year a super pastel female that will be ready by then will probably be over $1000 versus an 09 male super pastel which I see around ~$500.

    Need to figure out where your goals and budget line up best.
