Switching Feeding from 5-7 days to 7-10 days
When do you stop feeding your sub adults every 5 days and switch to every 7 or 10 days?
Do you judge this more by their age or by their size?
Thanks,
Dennis

BG judges it by when he gets his food. Unfortunately sometimes BG doesn't have the exact same schedule every week. You can change whenever you want. There is no set time, and you never need to change, it's entirely up to you.

With BPs I like to switch from 5 to 7 days around 500-800 grams, or around a year old, depending on the snake. I kind of take everything into account and just eventually make a decision that "it's time". There is no set-in-stone moment you have to switch up feeding day.

Thanks.
And keeping an adult on a 5 day feeding schedule is overkill right?

Hi,
Depends on the size of the prey really I think.
I feed all mine on a 7 day cycle once they get a bit of meat on their bones and never feed anything bigger than a small rat.
But if a snake was refusing every second feeding I know I'd at least try a 10 day cycle to see if that helped.
