How long after the feeding did this happen? Sometimes my snakes will stay in feeding mode for the rest of the day, and strike at the tub - thinking my hand is a mouse/rat passing by. Mona did that to me once right after a meal, and she's NEVER aggressive to people. I swear she looked guilty when she realized it was me, LOL.

it happened 2 days after feeding I never handle any of my snakes until atleast 2 days after feeding thats why this was so strange to me. This guy like i said was always shy but NEVER struck ive had ALL my snakes strike atleast once feeding time, move too quick , nervous, etc but this guy never. Now he decides he wants to PMS hmmmm lol

Maybe he is still hungry, or could have been having a cool snake dream and was mad because you woke him up. I've been struck at before from the sudden awakening...

your snake has bad eye sight ( just like the rest of ours ) and probably sees a blur getting close to him. he does however see a heat signature very well so he is going after it since it caught him off guard. i bet if you take him out he will stop.

I had ball pythons strike at me when misting down their tubs, it must freak some of them enough to make them strike.
