No garder snake, rat snake, or corn snake could leave a track that wide.
You know what i would try, get an outdoor lamp or a dome lamp with a red basking light. Get like a storage tub that you would find at walmart or where ever that is about 60qt or so and cut a hole in the side for the snake to get in. I would leave this setup with some bedding in the bottom with the smell of rats or mice on it, so if you have some at home that would probably work. Now i don't know how you would go about closing the door on the snake or even making a door, but you could also just put a hole on the top of the tub so the snake could get in, but might take some time to get out. Check the trap often to see if anyone "moved in." This is just a suggestion, but the mouse or rat smell could entice the snake and this is probably better than just leaving a rat or mouse in there as free food haha.
Thank you, and I appreciate your input.

Sorry peter, I have yet to report a post on this site.

Keep it up little one, keep it up.
Oops, bad choice of words there, I know how sensitive you are.
How about, keep going or onward or something like that? Little better for ya that way?
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Truth about Wes? There's lots of truth about Wes, but he's not afraid to talk about it and have it out in the open. Nothing is hiding there.
Why do you have such a huge intention of capturing these animals? One sounds like it is probably native, and the other, if it exists, should be relocated if seen. But since no one has actually seen it, I wouldn't personally take action.

Though to be honest, forum drama is SOOOO 2002.
I'd say that it's all about lolcats nowadays, but even that has passed beyond the intarwebs spotlight.

I'm really curious as to what "valuable" information he has shared with you, I haven't found a single helpful tip or advice coming from him in this forum or any other.
And it boggles my mind that he's a member of the Southwestern Herp Society, who stands by their following statement off their official website:
The objectives of the Southwestern Herpetologists Society are:
* To enhance the education of the members and the general public concerning the roles of amphibians and
reptiles in the natural world.
* To promote the conservation of reptiles and amphibians in particular, as well as all wildlife in general.
* To provide information for the closer cooperation between amateur and professional herpetologists, that
they may work together for the promotion of the science of herpetology.
Yet the ol' man wants to act like a child and criticize my rescue efforts for stray reptiles in peoples' homes.
I wonder if the organization actually knows about him? They may just not care, and that is exactly why I refuse to donate to an organization that condones this behavior from one of their very own.
Oh well...

By focusing on the negative of course you wouldn't notice.
He has given me pounds of information about breeding colubrids and has helped me out multiple times. He introduced me to the beauty of FWCs. He has helped me on countless husbandry and cage issues (especially when it comes to using pine for bedding and for enclosure building).
I would go out and find thousands of posts of examples of why he is a huge contributor to our community through lawful action and political activism as well, but there's a search function, and you can do that all by yourself.
Edit: I also like how you continue to bash Wes but have him on ignore so he is unable to defend himself. Cowardly I must say.
