Re: How to child proof a rack
very clever. just gotta be a pain to not be able to just open them up when you want though
1.1 het pied
1.1 butter
1.0 lemon pastel yellow belly
0.1 lemon pastel
and the addiction begins!
feeders(rats) - breeders(1.9) very happy male!
feeders(mice) - 2.5 breeders

You could have put a drilled rod with a hooked end through them all and only used one lock though. BG likes it anyway.

Re: How to child proof a rack
I open them up at least once a day to check on them and the temps. It really isn't that much trouble. If I had more snakes then it would probably get to be a pain to unlock all of them.

Then instead of locking the cage, it would make more sense to lock the room.
That's what many people do for hots and large constrictors anyways.

Re: How to child proof a rack
I dont have any extra bedrooms. I have a four bedroom house and four kids. The Ball Pythons are in the Master bedroom, and it would really be a pain if my wife and I had to unlock the bedroom door every time we wanted to go in there. Plus my wife is a stay at home mom and she is in there all the time. But thanks for the suggestion.
