No, Love..
You don't eat the mouse butt first :| Was feeding Morana a pre-killed mouse and she struck it, noted that it was dead, and began eating it..Butt first. It was hilarious at how she dragged the entire thing all over the tank to try and get it down.

Note how drool covered it is.

Rolling it around..

Drowning the already dead mouse..

Drag it around some more..
She eventually got it down about 15-20 minutes...Then went and sulked in her hide because she at the mouse butt first.

She's a mess. Going into shed..Again. I've noticed that she sheds every month to every month and a half. I think this will be the third shed she's gone though since I picked her up in mid August.
For the record, the blood that's on her in some of the pictures came from the mouse. She usually strikes the mice hard enough that they start bleeding from the nose.

Re: No, Love..
I justmildly worry since she's 2 or 3 at least. I was always told/read that adult snakes shed once or twice a year.

Re: No, Love..
I have a 3 year old snow corn that sheds once every 2-3 months or so, and that is with her just eating a single adult mouse once a week. If I were feeding her more, it would probably be more often.
Corn snakes are very interesting to watch eat. Zim has eaten her meals, frontways, sideways, backwards, in her water dish, etc. She is such a goof. Now yours, dragging it around, that's kind of funny.

I would refrain from reading or listening to where ever you read or heard that .

Re: No, Love..
lol I got a female black rat ( about 15+ years old) that sheds almost every month and she so old she needs help. I wait until she shows the skind in a blister type stage( air between the old and nes skin ) and then I go to work on removing it for her. SHE been like this for about 2 years or so and most likey would of died if this was gonigon whiel in he wild since her nose/air way would been blocked by now. as long as she eats and fightingI will fight with her.
Ther ore no mites or anything else found wrong with her. just old age I am guessing.
