so i got a new leo...

he replaced me with a new leo a 1.5yrs old male leo hes feeding well and eats likes there's no tomorrow.. one small problem.. he always look at my finger and thought that its superworms (his main diet)..btw theres also mealworms there always wanted to bite it.. anyway to make him tame and allows me to handle him? because right now he did not let me handle him...

    so...
question 1) how to tame him?
question 2) is superworms safe for him? or i should feed him mealworms?

    1. just gentle handle him for a few min every few days slowly extending the time each time, i like to hold them till they calm down and relax then put them back kinda like a positive reward seems to work.
    2. superworms are fine for him mealsworms too

I feed all my leo's super worms and I do not have a problem. Just don't leave the super worms in there with him, give him one at a time and watch him eat it, don't give him any that are too big and you'll be good to go And time will help tame him down. I still have some that just really don't like to be handled. They don't bite but they really don't like to be bothered and I have/had some that were COMPLETE doll babies from day 1. He looks to have nice color from what I can see in the pics

Not to hijack the thread, but maybe you are thinking of wax worms? They are very high in fat and best as a treat, if at all.
