Question What bulbs do you use?

Just out of curiosity as to what bulb you ( the reader ) use for your BP's?
I use Repta Sun and Zoo Med's.. I've found from trial and error that they last the longest and dont cost alot. If ya know of any other brands that have a long life span, let me know please Thanks for reading and giving your input.

    Cheers

Balls dont require any special light... for heat I use belly heat via flexwatt.... lighting i only use a timer on the regular lighting in the room to come on and off @ a certain time

ball pythons don't need special lights. they are a noturnal(spelling) snake so the bulb were a waste of money.

now I use a standard engery saver florscent(spelling) buld to light the room when I am in there . outside that I just have the window curtain open to let light in. Unlike the lizards most if not all snakes asorb their needs from their food...

If you are using lamps to heat your enclosure, you are probably having a hard time with humidity.

I would just ditch the lights and get a UTH with a thermostat. Lights are not necessary.

I've been told that before, but I have a hard time keepin the temps in the right area.. I have looked into the flex tape, but can not find it local. I also use the light to keep the humidity up with the help of spagum moss.

No light bulbs. I use racks with belly heat provided by a heat cord. Light is ambient from the windows.

The light will LOWER the humidity, not raise it.

You probably won't be able to find flexwatt locally unless you go to a reptile show and someone happens to be selling some. You can buy it online at very low prices though.

Big Apple Herp sells some extremely affordable and durable heat rope.

Re: What bulbs do you use?

I use exo terra Night Glow. Sometimes I need to use a lamp because my heat pad can only cover so much and it gets pretty cold at night.
Any other not so expensive ways to keep the temps up? Can't really afford anything over $20 atm =/
