I guess it is Dave. Seems odd that it would produce such an extreme stripe to the Cajun Lithium girl???
It is variable as with any morph. I would think that the closest similar morph would be the animals Joe Compel has -- Brown Backs?? Sorry Joe -- I should remember their name -- my bad. I know he has produced a Super with them -- very cool.
Cajun gene has had kind of hypo effect on my Butters -- I was hoping to get a Pastel and Y.B. clutch -- maybe this season?
I had a clutch from a captive hatched female bred to the Cajun Butter that produced 2 babies with weird scull spots at the base of the neck and FUNKY color as well. I will be breeding the Cajun Butter ???? male from that clutch back to mom this winter or spring. She also has the neck thing going on. She is not what we know as Granite appearing. Wacky stuff these Balls!!
Yeah, I guess your female does look more like a brown back than a black back, with decent coloring. So, do you think it is a color and pattern deal or just pattern?
"I have this Ghost female that needs a mate!"
The Lesser cross looks interesting. Any pics from Compels line or the Super?

Dave
No pics of Joes stuff, but they are around the web. I saw the super in some show pics at his table. I am suspecting my super will be more extreme in color and pattern than his -- just a hunch.
I think both color and pattern are at work Dave. I should restate that the "hypo" is more "highlight" in actuality -- more of a Yellow Belly effect than a traditional Ghost/Hypo "hazy effect". The blushing back color in the Butter combo is not brown -- but rather a mauve or off pinkish-red.
The Butter is the only combo I have made thus far. My thought that the Pastel and Y.B. combos will give me more insight -- I hope.
