    "THEE" Ginevive update...

Here goes! Things are going OK here in Cali. But by March, my husband and I are moving back to NY. Why, you ask?

The reasons are many. For one, I strongly miss my family and best friend/friends there. I could get over this, but also, the cost of living here is such that, we will never be able to pay off our debt if we stay. Our income just covers our expenses and minimal payments on credit cards.. By moving back and renting a room from my mom, we will be able to recoup things.

And I MISS THE COUNTRYSIDE. I am a farm girl who's in the city now.. Granted, the ocean is right in our backyard. But it is not the same.. I need the frigign' country. We plan on getting debt paid off, and buying a farm either in NY or PA.

So many more reasons.. the HUGE COSTS of updating our car registrations on the truck and jeep if we stay. The HUGE COSTS of houses here.. I will not even go further.

My snakes are going well.. hope they're all set for another trip cross-country!

Things are quite expensive here in California. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt, but when you're raised in it, it's nothing but the normal! Hope you don't have to move all the way back, that would make the first move not even worth it! Unless, you've had some good experiences. Just visit the exploratorium before you leave, that place is AWESOME!

    Hope things go well!

As a California Ex-Pat (former resident) Born and bred there...
I moved to Wisconsin and never looked back. Hay for 2-3 dollars a bale...milk for 90 cents per half gallon, good job market, great resturants....
Although in order to live here.. you are required to at least pretend to like the greenbay packers.. LOL
But you don't have LINES for DMV, chairs, books/mags, a number system and some entertainment as well. The madison DMV has a small snack area with the same number system.

Wow, good luck! We're still waiting for an opportunity to move out of this state, maybe soon.

Are you sure you didn't die and go to heaven? I've lived in Cali my whole life, and that sounds like heaven to me!

I've heard Oregon is alot better too.

    Re: "THEE" Ginevive update...

Thanks everyone! I do not see the trip, as a waste. It was just a chapter in our lives that was necessary. I see it like this. We lived in a decrepit farmhouse in NY. Though it was decrepit, we tolerated some thing like leaks and drafts.. the location was awesome. We had horses, etc. BUT! I never see us as ever wanting to move from there, to Buffalo (the nearest city.) So, in moving here, and then moving to Buffalo, it was a roundabout way to get into the city where we will own the tattoo shop and things will be cheaper. Granted, I am not that enthused about moving in with family. But my mom is kewl, and unobtrusive; and in a few months after getting there, we plan on renting a place ourselves, anyway.
And living here, has been an awesome experience! I've had some "hella fun" stuff happen since we got here, that I never would have seen/done in NY! I think of it as an extended vacation where I have to work parttime.
This has all just re-inforced to Mark and I, how much we really are country people. We cannot wait for the day that we sign the papers for our own farm. And we plan on it being in NY or PA (PA seems to have lower-priced real estate, and less snow.) And close to family; I miss watching my nieces grow up. I am sorry that I took their access to rural land and horses away. The wonderment in their eyes when they saw the horses.. but it will happen again.
So yeah! Thanks for your words and support here. I was thinking of something; wherever you move in life.. the internet stays the same! <3
