hidebox hater
So... My baby Kyna is now not really using her hide boxes.. Ever since I got her some silk plants she spends most of her time in them. her temps are right, I would say that it is her humidity... The silk plant retain moisture so i guess since she is shedding it is the reason... I am having a serious issue with my humidity still. I now have 2 heat lamps, One to stablize the cooler side and one to heat up the hot side. one problem... I cant cover the lid with duct tape because my lights sit on top of it... what to do!?

What kind of hides do you provide to your BP?
2 Heat lamps are the reason why you cannot keep the humidity in!
Do you provide belly heat or only use Heat lamps?
Here what you can do
Mist your enclosure
Switch to a substrate that holds humidity better (Cypress Mulch, Repti-Bark)
Have a humid hide
Cover your tank partially
Switch to a plastic tub
Have a second water dish above your UTH

Why to heat lamps? Certainly if you need them it is fine.

Re: hidebox hater
what are the temps exactly? too hot can be just as bad or worse than too cool!

Re: hidebox hater
High is 96 and low is 81 and now that I have two lamps the heat is stable even after misting

Re: hidebox hater
i would try to lower the high side to 92-94, keep the low around 80-82. might be too hot in the hide?
