Re: Pics of my baby boy
yah i dont know what to say..i believe a Pastel used to be called a Pastel Jungle when they first discovered some in the wild, but eventually just dropped the 'Jungle'..thats from what i've heard.. anyone will till you that if you breed a bee to a normal that yah you have a chance at a Pastel... it does look similar to an Enchi.. i guess you gotta try and get more birds eye view photos and nice side shots and take em to the experts!

Re: Pics of my baby boy
Well, here's two more. They are shot in a bit more light, so perhaps they're clearer? I would really like to know the real morph on this one.

1.0 Python regius * 0.1 Pantherophis guttatus * 1.1 Leiocephalus schreibersi * 1.0 Paroedura picta * 0.1 Tiliqua gigas gigas * 0.1 Eublepharis macularius * 0.2 Agamura persica * 1.0 Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis

Re: Pics of my baby boy
Everyone says it's an Enchi now. Is it possible to get that from normal x bumblebee?

Re: Pics of my baby boy
Not from that pairing, no, but if the breeder can't recognize he or she produced an enchi, how would the breeder know if one of the parents is actually carrying the gene?

Re: Pics of my baby boy
Well, long story short, Frank IS a pastel, as he was sold to me. First i had the wrong breeder ( the real webaddress is www.ballpythons.nl, just 1 letter difference, so tracking the breeder down was a bit of an adventure), but finally i got the answer from the real breeder. He said it is a pastel although it doesn't really look like it.
This is what he said: "From the head to half the snake it is a Pastel but from the middle to the end it looks like an Enchi I think this comes due to the influense of the Spider gene. I cannot prove it because it was the only one that looked like this but I can guarantee you for 100% it is not an Enchi it is Pastel."

Re: Pics of my baby boy
It doesn't even have the white lips of a pastel. I know what the breeder said - and there's no way that the spider influences the look (or else it would be a bee). I'm going with the others and saying that's an enchi.
