Please tell me you didn't pull his shed off yourself!

Or keeping him on sand...or housing him with another dragon

I agree. Any Beardie that isn't an adult, IMO, should not have sand as substrate. For Beardies that aren't adults, they can get impacted very easily, that's why sand is suggested when your dragon is an adult since adults can pass it a lot better. Also, housing with another dragon can result in a fight or the ends of their tails/toes can get nipped off from another dragon mistaking that for food.

Though, besides that stuff, your dragon really does look beautiful. I love the coloration on it, just looks amazing.

Are you concerned that there could possibly be mating with keeping the two together?

You really do not seem concerned at all about the health of your beardies. Peeling off their shed is like ripping an old scab off.

A male WILL breed your female constantly once he hits puberty. And 15 inches is a Juvi, not an adult. Do you know how stressful breeding is to a female? The male BITES onto their neck ( Yes, skin ripping can occur) to breed them, and WILL NOT stop breeding her. If you do not provide the proper set up once she is gravid, which means without the male as it is, she can and probably will become Egg bound. She definitely does not look big enough to be breeding either.

BTW, unless your aquarium is 8x4 feet, its not big enough for two beardies.

I can tell you right now that you are not experianced enough to breed, or raise the 50+ babys they can have.
