    Question Linking Heat Tape together

Ok guys I need a bit of help with this one.

This week i am building my new snake rack, it will have 8 shelves that I can work with. I already have the heat tape / connection for it BUT, I want to do individual strips on each shelf. So that's 8 strips of about 3 feet of tape each.

I know how to rig up the main plug connection but how would I go about linking the other strips together so i can use 1 thermostat???

any help would be great guys, thanks.

    This should help you out.

The big thing is just to make sure you don't connect too many feet at once.

    Re: Linking Heat Tape together

So you want to wire each shelf seperately?

If you want to do that then you need to wire a power strip to the thermostat. Some of them will come pre-wired with an 8 outlet power strip.

If you want them all to run the same temperature you can run them in parallel like that link shows, but this way you will only have one plug.
