Re: 1 UTH or 2?
You can use another UTH or heat lamp, but the thing you should really worry about is ambient temps. It gets freezing in my room at night and I don't know how to keep my room above 75F, but I'm trying I guess.

Re: 1 UTH or 2?
The use of an oil filled radiator (wallyworld, home depot, or lowes for about $30) works great at keeping a smallish room (under 15x15 feet) at the temp range you need. The issue is that most people, from what I have read, don't have their snakes in a room where they can keep the temps at 80F, bedroom or office for example. A second option is to put a rheostat on a heat lamp if it is raising the temps too much.

Ceramic heat emitters come in 40 watts and 60 watts too. Maybe try a lower wattage.
Would you breed a wobbler dog even though it had a cool coat?

BEst bet is space heater(oil radiator) with built in digital thermostat. Lowes has them for 60 bucks. On medium power set to 75 keeps room at 81 all year.

Re: 1 UTH or 2?
I'm in the same boat as you, and have been using the overhead heating lamp that came with our set-up. If left on constantly, it raises the temps to a little over 80, so I've plugged it into the thermostat that the UTH is plugged into. It cycles on and off like the UTH does.
Alas, that kills the humidity, plunging it to 45 and under. To combat that, I have a damp paper towel in there most of the time. I also squeeze out water drops on top of the hides. It helps a lot. Good luck!
